CS 5000
Inline Weight Measurement with the Continuous Board Scale
The CS 5000 was developed especially for production lines with very high production speeds and thin, light panels. It still works optimally even in cramped conditions. An unfavourable ratio between tare (empty weight) and panel weight does not impair measurement. Up to ten non-contact measuring heads can be freely arranged over the entire panel width.
The total weight of all produced panels, referred to different time periods or press loads, can be logged and represented. The same applies to the single panel weight. Linked with a thickness measurement, the average raw density of the panels can also be exactly calculated. Tolerance deviations are classified, statistically evaluated and retrieved for an automatic sorting process.
Your Benefit
Little space required for installation
(e. g. in case of an extended press);
installation
even in difficult positions possible; installation
possible wherever a scale cannot usually
be installed
Expandable and combination with other
systems possible
(e. g. with a thickness gauge
to evaluate the raw density)
Avoidance of wrong panel weights; material use and material distribution are constantly monitored
Quality control
Fast amortisation
Measuring Principle
For non-contact measurement with the non-contact continuous board scale, an x-ray source is installed below, and a high-precision sensor above the material. The measure for the weight per unit area (kg/m² / lbs/f²) is calculated from the absorption of the x-radiation - depending on the specific density and the amount of the material.
Software
The visualisation software of all GreCon measuring systems is based on Windows®.
